looking good. be careful though: I had one that was clearly open. luckily i went through the box carefully and found that a very small part was missing so i sent it back for a replacement. the replacement was unopened and contained all parts. my plumber installed it and had no problems with it. seems to work fine.

this is the only drain that will fit the american standard hot tub we bought. the contractor was able to fit it perfectly with no leaks. but opening and closing is a drag. to close the drain, you have to reach down to reach the round drain plug at the bottom and turn it with your hand until it is almost completely closed, then turn the knob at the top to seal the drain plug. to open - first turn the top part to open the drain plug, then reach all the way into the full bath to unscrew the bottom part (if it's not open enough, the drain water will close it). doesn't seem like a big deal if you're the one taking a bath. but if you wear long sleeves and have to pump a full bath every night after your kids, you start swearing after a few times ;)
