Update: December 2016: Unlike more traditional toilet seats, this one has a "skirt" in front of the lid that covers the sides of the seat, enclosing the bowl almost completely. I installed this seat on a little-used toilet in the basement. the resulting lack of air exchange in the bowl encouraged mold growth at certain times of the year. no star deduction - beware if you have these circumstances. easy to install. although the hinge and mounting hardware are all plastic, the chair sits securely in place and doesn't have that loose wobble that other plastic hinges often have. the soft close function is great! but remember most of your friends don't ;)

this toilet seat is fantastic. it replaced a brand new seat because. my old chair was too big and i'm small and sinking. but this chair is a sleek and shiny design. the seat is completely comfortable and safe as there is no side to side movement...good thing...it has a small lift to raise the lower seat. made for made for women, it seems to grip the toilet well, but the top lid has two millimeter movement, which is much better than my previous seat. it is strong to sit on the top seat. i recommend this chair. it is not an ordinary chair, it is superior to others.

it is a toilet seat so fitting would be an important aspect. the main image of the toilet seat is incorrect as it shows an elongated seat and not an elongated seat as received. because of the main image I was led to believe that the chair was elongated, but it is elongated. the product details do not have the dimensions of this chair, so I could not compare it with my existing chair. therefore mounting is a bit off on my standard american toilet. not a big problem. it is also difficult to use with a non-electric bidet as the toilet seat risers cannot be placed under the seat as there is no surface parallel to the rim of the toilet. I chose to place the risers on the release tabs on the bottom of the toilet seat. the seat is also a bit flimsy.
