High-quality beautiful chic square design. Beware possible installation hassles (Check your rough-in componentsbefore buying)!..
excellent quality of solid brass. it's frustrating that there isn't a simple standard for connecting tub spouts. there should be! this requires some sort of hybrid connection - between a "slip-on" style where 1/2" copper tubing extends 3+ inches from the wall and a "screw-on" threaded style like attaching a shower head with a chrome nipple that fits into a 1 /2" brass female elbow in the wall. it's really designed for places where the "rough" plumbing anticipated the type of wall hookup needed and I'd send it back but I really like this sleek design and got a lot from the bath1 warehouse so I bowed and spent almost 2 days to figure out how to install it successfully (excluding the week of waiting for an esoteric component to arrive - an external threaded copper sleeve that slides over the end of a 1/2 copper tube to connect a male threaded end thread). i used an oscillating tool to cut the existing copper pipe so the end was 3/4" below the outside surface of the tile on the wall. i then used epoxy to attach the threaded sleeve to this pipe and then the spout as a dream it works great but its a bit counterintuitive as you push the chrome lever down (not up) to divert the water to the head one thing i especially like is that as soon as you turn on the shower faucet the diverter opens and any water remains in the pipe between the shower head and the valve. the diverter immediately drips from the spout. this is a welcome feature for anyone using a "rain shower" style shower head, as otherwise it drips up to an hour after turning off the shower.
