we are updating two *really* ugly bathrooms and needed new bathtubs for both. we like the durability of porcelain compared to cast iron, but we didn't want the weight. after doing a lot of research, it seemed like an american standard american bath would be ideal. the problem was getting one within our time frame. Our plumber said that due to years of rotten economy in our state and the sudden cessation of new home construction, his distributors only stock the cheapest tubs because that's what sells. getting one of these would take at least 3 weeks although I gave it 4 different models as options. we didn't have much time due to a tight schedule with our drywall installer so I looked for a resource on the internet. our top pick turned out to be available on bath1 at a great price and with a delivery date that fit our schedule! (who knew?) the bathtubs arrived a day ahead of schedule and we love them. our plumber was very impressed with the quality and finish they installed with no problem and look beautiful. the finish is great - smooth and flawless. I'm sure it won't be hard to keep clean and this style has the simple, clean lines we love to have in our home. a+ to bath1 on this product and transaction. I don't know what we would have done if I hadn't found the tubs here. we probably should have picked something neither of us really liked, but thankfully bath1's wide range of products and excellent service solved the problem.

it's a bit wider than a typical 30-inch tub and a nice depth too. you notice the difference right away. Please note that mounting the deep drain is not necessarily required for installation, even if the product description suggests that it is. Chances are, unless you're doing new construction, your plumber will have to fix their own drain anyway. the tubs were delivered in one piece on time. a+ for shipping. i will update once it is installed.

nice bath. some finishing issues around the edges, the putty will be a little thick there but that's okay. difficult to level.

we just installed it and haven't tried it yet but it's a nice tub and much better quality than the one it replaced. it is well insulated and the finish is very nice. it is extra deep and has a non-slip bottom, so there is no unsightly bath mat on the bottom of the bath! it was delivered fast and hassle free. my only issue is the price dropped $200 within two weeks of ordering. bath1 has no price protection so I feel a bit cheated.

the bath arrived exactly as described. it was installed by professionals so I have no personal knowledge of the installation but my contractor doesn't seem to have a problem. it was great to order online and have it delivered in a few days.
