... 4 stars because it was packaged and shipped very nicely and no damage to report..
I gave it 4 stars because it was very well packaged and shipped and there was no damage to report. the filler (tap) is nice, but the leaky spray handle should have an arm that goes into the tub instead of outside the tub. my floor gets wet every time I use the sprayer and it's super annoying! now i feel like i need to tile the walls all around so they don't get damaged by moisture.

Excellent product..
excellent. light to carry upstairs but doesn't feel "plastic" or cheap. plner said it was easy to hook up. the tub must be at least 2 feet from the wall for the fill and shower attachment or metal hand attachment to butt against the wall. looks great in the bathroom. nice centerpiece. a word of warning - make sure you have a water heater that will allow you to fill the tub without emptying the tank! we're installing an on-demand water heater for the house so I can fill the tub without running out of hot water.

What an amazing tub!..
so i was 36 weeks pregnant when i ordered this bath. he was supposed to arrive on February 15, but that would be a little too short for a home birth. so i called after shipping and they (the driver) could save me a week and the delivery was excellent. we had it installed by a not very practical plumber who tried to deviate from the instructions. after reading the reviews on here we realized it was wise to follow the instructions exactly so we insisted on doing it. all said and done, the installation itself was a breeze. no rough edges to file. no problem. and the tub is absolutely gorgeous in our tiny new 8'x9' bathroom (which used to be the porch of our 1890 farmhouse). and the bathing experience - phenomenal. you don't even need an inflatable pillow to relax! the tub fits my husband 5'10" and me 5'4" (even pregnant and tall) perfectly with room to spare. the floor surface is slightly textured to prevent slipping. bathed the kids in it and felt super safe. the tub is very deep so for them we only filled it a little. water temperature stays warmer than older tubs better (not as good as a metal tub, but I'll do it!). and it's just elegant and beautiful. BTW, this tub plus the included faucet/shower will set you back $2200 plus $400-800 for the faucet at any store like lowes or ferguson. this price including shipping is to die for. I am so happy. this and i bought a corner toilet (also american standard) and extractor hood on bath1 for our refurbishment - glad i took the chance and encourage everyone to do the same!!!

Attractive and Functional Great Value for the Money - Buy It..
my husband and I bought this tub a year ago as part of a total bathroom remodel for our master bedroom. we were replacing the so-called build quality "platform fairing" and wanted something stylish and functional. this tub ticks all of our boxes for looks (freestanding), fit (we installed it diagonally in the old tub form factor), price and quality. we love it! our investigation lasted several months at the beginning of 2015 and covered the range from traditional steel tanks to exotic japanese soaking units. we were looking for something that would fit my husband's six foot plus frame without breaking the bank. this american standard cadet tub hit the sweet spot. he can even take a bath without putting his legs behind his head. and it can accommodate two people. we still can't believe we got the tub and faucet combo for less than the price of some tubs alone. That said, if you're fixated on a European brand (and its high price tag), this isn't the tub for you. but if you want value for money and "made in america" still means something to you then buy this one. it came with detailed installation instructions and we had it installed by a professional plumber. in this regard, the only caveat we would have is that our husband tried to make the water connections without opening the ceiling under the bathroom (he wanted to save us the dust and interference by having to cut through the ceiling of our kitchen). if you try to do it this way be very careful how the connections are made. the space available for a "flush" connection is extremely tight and we don't think our plumber realized how difficult it would be to get a watertight connection. well, you can guess what happened next. after discovering the leak one night, he was back the next day to open up our kitchen ceiling and make the bath connections from below. we recommend entering the room below to get started. trade a minor drywall repair for a major water leak. everything is fine now. Please note this issue has nothing to do with this particular brand of bathtub. any bathtub with a freestanding faucet like this one will likely have a connector style that needs more space than a traditional bathtub to access the connectors. one final note: some reviewers have commented on the "poor" quality of the faucet hardware and bath body itself. the quality is excellent in our opinion. as for some rough spots on the underside of the fairing liner, we can see where this could happen in the manufacturing process, but as one reviewer pointed out, just take some sandpaper to wet or dry fine grit and smooth it out. ours didn't have this problem. the outer support shell and the inside of the bath itself are smooth and shiny. again, if you're looking for german spray taps and italian ceramic tubs, this one isn't for you. Of course, as with anything, there must be a trade-off between costs and benefits. we would repurchase these. try it.

Great Tub!..
i love this bath. buying a bathtub on bath1 was a bit strange but i am so glad i did. this replaced an old hot tub and I couldn't be happier with the depth and size. the water stays warm for a long time which is nice. as the faucet was included I thought it was good value and looked well installed. we had a contractor to assemble it and install the tub and faucet. the faucet is really heavy and not wobbly at all. I haven't noticed any issues with the sharp edges, but I make sure not to rub the underside with my hand where it's not over yet.
