Beautiful tub spout but difficult installation..
I was enamored with the beauty of this seabury tub spout, but the hassle and expense of installing it wasn't worth it anyway. it does not use standard parts and hardware for us. bath pipes/fittings so be prepared if you decide to buy. it is expensive and cumbersome and worth the price of the time and effort if you have a great handyman or plumber and the money to spare. come prepared and read reviews from people who know what they are doing or have installed this beautifully designed bath spout. he can charm you like he did me!

Very HEAVY Chrome Plated beauty!..
i originally intended to replace my worn build quality spout with this very nice unit but upon inspection i see it is configured for a threaded nipple and does not use a nylon compression ring/pvc. it's also a bit heavy for copper plumbing so I can see why they would add a threaded sheath that would eliminate sagging or potential for a leak in the wall of the installed area. this thing is probably the prettiest beak I've seen, its weight alone makes it seem valuable. the water lever on the end of the spout is spring loaded and returns to the upright position when not in use. if you want to fill the bath you press the button and when you use the shower i think it returns to that position automatically. I couldn't test the feature because I didn't have the correct settings to enable the installation. I hope the pictures and description help you in your decision. this thing is sleek and smooth to operate. thanks again for reading my reviews. Greetings

High quality diverter spout!..
being new to grohe I was very impressed with the build quality and finish of this product. I got this to upgrade my 20 year old bath/shower setup. the chrome finish is of a high quality and the machine work for the mechanism and fittings is excellent. you may need to check compatibility depending on your plumbing situation. mine had to be modified as my old diverter was a different brand and had a much longer hose and smaller thread for this fitting. this grohe diverter uses a 3/4 pipe connection which is directly at the base so you must have a 3/4 male connection the correct distance from the wall to fit snugly and sit flush with your bathtub. as long as you have access to your plumbing, replacement with the correct adapter will be necessary if yours is different. overall this is a high quality device but despite being a vine free review product i think its current price of $187 is a bit on the high side. compared to other products in this quality range.

Gorgeous..
preparing for a bathroom renovation that has been delayed due to covid. we grohe because of the quality and honestly because I only have this headache once! i like the look and feel of their fixtures. they are heavy and of real quality. if you can ever get your hands on a cheaper lamp keep it next to the grohe brand you will immediately know what i am talking about. as grohe is from europe, make sure you understand what fittings are needed and get professional help if you have any problems with self installation. this is not our first grohe product and i can say from experience that when it appears to be broken or missing a part it is a bad install 99% of the time. frankly their instructions are not clear and when you add unusual sizes it causes serious confusion. you may need an adapter or sometimes under certain circumstances it may not work at all with the existing plumbing/opening/wall/sink without a little renovation work. because we are redoing all the plumbing in our bathroom (the job will be done by a professional) the right pipe will be installed from the start.

Excellent Quality and Design. Beautiful Finish...
This Seabury bath spout from Grohe is a beautiful design. It has an integrated diverter and can be used with many Grohe valves such as the Grohelex. it is much easier to install than the more traditional imo spouts. Install the outlet adapter first by screwing it onto the supply line. the pipe must be firmly anchored to the wall. the adapter is tightened to the tube with a 14 mm Allen key. then install the trim ring and then the spout to fit over the adapter. it is held in place with a 4mm hex screw on the underside of the spout. this allows you to fine-tune the rotation and l even alignment from spout to wall high quality and a beautiful 5 star design.

Beautifully Crafted Tub Spout..
This Grohe Seabury Diverter Tub Spout may be more expensive, but it's worth every penny. Selling for $189.88 (as of the date of this review), Grohe is constantly designing plumbing parts like these that not only look unique, but will perform flawlessly for years to come. recently i was able to upgrade all the plumbing in my master bathroom to grohe, one of the last to be installed. i hid it in the box until the day i finally took it out and put it in. it required a simple copper adapter, but nothing difficult or expensive. i loved the look of this spout the moment i saw it designed with more of a curve than most of the spouts I've seen and a bypass button that can't be missed despite being more awesome it looks perfect. you will not find grohe lamps in the big box stores, they are not plastic and are not designed to be cheap. I get grohe piece by piece and in the year since I installed the first piece I have had no problems but I have received many compliments on our new bathroom bath from friends or family who are staying for a few days and using the bath/shower. in fact, no one ever told me about the plumbing fixtures in my bathtub until they used the grohe three-function diverter switch that i installed with two shower heads and a hand shower, all from grohe. the shower is like magic and well worth getting everything set up correctly. if you like this model with spout, remember that it has a diverter and may not work on all non-standard plumbing installations (standard means a bath spout and a shower head). if you're not sure I would definitely have a qualified plumber install the grohe products you're considering. it can be a bit pricey before your bath is ready but when you walk in you know it was money well spent. a great piece of plumbing hardware!
