the metal shade is darker in reality than in the product photo, which does not match our bathroom renovation. the button resets automatically once the shower is turned off which is a great help to those of us who don't understand why other people at home don't automatically press the diverter button :) love the white top of the diverter button and also think it helps with the overall clean/maintained look as the finish won't wear off as easily on the knob's surface.

my recent basement bathroom renovation has been completed and a grohe shower/tub thermostatic model 1982-2000 was installed along with this grohe seabury diverter bath spout. the diverter works smoothly even with soapy hands and is large enough to direct the flow from the bath spout to the shower head. what's even nicer is that the after-shower spout automatically drains the water from the shower head to the bath spout after turning off the water after showering. the look is absolutely breathtaking and is made of excellent chrome plating on a solid cast brass piece. here's the good and here's the bad or the ugly.....the repair kits to rebuild this fairing spout are over $34 and that's for some o-ring springs and new small hardware. the set screw holding the tub spout on the 3/4 inch end tends to loosen, but I don't want to over tighten the set screw. talk about expensive? ...this bath spout cost me over $140, but my wife asked for it. many other suppliers such as kohler and american standard, but grohe currently has the most reliable and easy-to-maintain units with spare parts readily available, albeit expensive.

this stuff is beautiful. i am really in love with it. It is heavy. like "don't hold it in your hand while fighting your man" heavy. there is a white enamel knob on the top of the plunger pull tab that i didn't notice at first. once installed, my bathroom will really look so much better than the original build quality fixture. the fixing is completely different from standard sanitary ware. my husband says we should hire a plumber to solder a different size pipe so keep that in mind. too bad, because I prefer to do most of my upgrades at home myself. press the button if it was helpful.

it's not your typical clutter you see in most homes. it's solid and just shimmers. that said, make sure you know what pipe size accessory you need for your wall, otherwise you'll have to match it. I don't even want to imagine how many times it has fallen as it is much heavier than I thought. however it arrived fine. it's a pleasure to use it and it makes me want to improve more things in the bathroom. I am really impressed with the quality.

this diverter tub spout costs a proverbial penny and i personally would never spend that kind of loot on a simple tub spout no matter how rich i was but i got this one for free. and I admit we can "see" the price in the obvious quality of the thing. it is heavy and solid and the inverter control knob works great. also, most redirect spouts (or a lot) drool when set to "redirect", but not this one. the spout is 100% closed and drip free with all the water coming to the shower head. In addition, the diverter always resets to "off" (no bypass) when you turn off the water, saving you the experience of water mist on the back of your head when you turn on the tub faucet, waiting for the water to come out of the spout instead of the shower head.

a thorough renovation of one of our bathrooms has made our other bathrooms jealous! so naturally we looked for simple and cheaper ways to update the other bathrooms. I have to tell you, I've never really thought about bathroom accessories and such, but this Seabury Diverter Tub Spout is simply beautiful! we have the grohe starlight chrome and it really gives a fresh and updated look to the bath. i like the springy feel of the diverter pull. our old one started to leak a bit and I am impressed with the water pressure we are now getting with the new seabury diverter. moreover, when you turn off the water, the zipper pulls up and releases all the water automatically. it was easy to install, it's easy to clean and it looks great!
