Indulgent Expense - And Woth Every Penny..
I also have to confess that I chose this product because I thought that there is no way a rain shower head could be worth the price of this product. I was pleasantly surprised that I was wrong. the width is a blessing to me. a shower head this size means no more dancing (although that can be fun) and turning from one direction to another to ensure my whole body is treated from the effects of a rain shower. the room effects are soothing and soothing. the amount of pressure perfectly calibrated to truly mimic a rainstorm in nature. the piece is visually appealing with clean lines and while it is large it does not seem overwhelming compared to the space i have it in. the only really minor drawback is the weight. this rain shower head costs £6 (for each shower head). I had to remove it after a few test showers and will reinstall it after getting a longer extension rod and ceiling mount. I am more than happy to recommend the product, but only to say that this unit really should have ceiling mount.

Luxurious and Even Rain Shower Experience...
this is a simple tweak to add rain shower experience. it's also perfect for new installations where a shower enclosure and wall work together perfectly. grohe recommends their 28540 or 28492 or 27217 rain shower arms for matching finishes and styles. 12" head with 208 spray heads puts out lots of consistent, even raindrops. it's rated at 2.5 gpm and like most rain shower heads, it has good spray volume. water and good pressure. horizontal and horizontal position is required for best experience.the head rotates for easy wearing.one feature I really like is the dropstop as grohe calls it.it prevents the head from flowing for a long time after use.no more cold drops.the fit and finish is excellent.it feels heavy to the touch and to the feel of quality. the starlight chrome finish is shiny, even and flawless. you can really tell that this is a top of the range fixture. 5 stars for quality and excellent design.

Gorgeous. And ..contested...
have you ever seen something so beautiful? i love this shower head and unfortunately i discovered something about it that i did not expect! did you know that a 2.5 gpm shower head is illegal in the state of california? me neither ! luckily i'm not in california so i can enjoy the great flow this bad boy provides. I don't want to just hang it on the normal wall valve so if you have a way to structure this from the ceiling to support the weight of the weight that would be ideal. setup is also extremely simple, just log in and enjoy. the chrome finish pretty much prevents stains in our home but as another reviewer said i hope you enjoy the perspective of the mirror for all your showering activities as it is like having a mirror right over your head!

One of the better rainfall shower heads I've tried..
I have a love-hate relationship with rain shower heads. i appreciate the environmental impact and enjoy a "gentle" shower sometimes. however, I'd be lying if I said I didn't occasionally run out of shower heads that had pressure on the fire hose. that said, I rate this shower head on its own merits. because if you are considering buying this shower head, you will of course want this rain shower. this grohe cosmopolitan 310 shower head absolutely delivers. while this may not be the best rain shower head I've ever used - a distinction that applies to any shower head used by westin - it certainly ranks among the best. when it comes to aesthetics, there's no denying that it's a beautiful shower head. it's a shower head that you don't mind anyone seeing. even from a distance and without feeling the considerable weight of the device, it looks like a high-end shower head. Speaking of weight, I should mention that you'll probably want to make sure the arm you're going to place this head on can handle a bit of weight, as this grohe shower head is *heavy*. i have a solid two foot chrome arm installed and thought it was pretty secure with very little release. however, after attaching this grohe shower head to the end, i noticed a noticeable sag that worried me. I nearly took the head off, but decided to turn the water on (on a low setting) and look closely where the arm connects to the pipes in the wall to make sure there is no leak. everything seemed fine but I think that's something to mention as I doubt anyone has the ability to install a five pound shower head without making some tweaks or adjustments to strengthen the arm first. using this shower head is quite pleasant. in the past I have been disappointed with many shower heads that really felt like someone was sneezing at me from above; there is just very little water pressure and it feels like it takes ten minutes to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. but this grohe unit is not like that. it manages to be a rain shower head that also provides great water coverage. it seems contradictory but it is true. I would compare it to a heavy downpour of summer rain; it's not in stormy area, but it puts off a fair amount of water, albeit gently. I'm not going to list all the specs you can scroll to see. I can attest, however, that it feels like it produces 2.5 gallons per minute, which is the highest for rainfall shower heads these days. for me personally i don't think i could go back to a rain head that emits less than 2 gallons per minute. the first is that he has a very disappointing range of motion. according to the product list, the ball joint allows 20 degrees of movement and in the real world it seems even less. so just know you can't divert where the head sprays. I can imagine some buyers needing a longer or shorter arm for this reason. my other critical point is the price. especially now it's hard to justify dropping nearly five benjamins on anything, let alone a high-end shower head. does the grohe cosmopolitan 310 justify its price? well, that will be a matter of opinion. personally I think it has great build quality, great design and very good performance, but still I think the price of this unit can be reduced to between $300 and $350 and still be a premium range or luxury. This is all relative of course, so take this with a grain of salt. if you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to answer them.

Absolutely brilliant design build and greatest finish but remember this is a rainshower!..
first let's deal with the fact that this is a rain shower head. with a flow rate of 2.5 gpm, which is pretty typical for most good shower heads, this shower head can't give you the same water pressure as most other standard shower heads with a smaller diameter and fewer nozzles. this shower head has a diameter of 30 cm and more than 200 nozzles, so compared to regular shower heads with between 50 and 100 nozzles, you usually get much less pressure. if you're looking for something to pierce your scalp with high water pressure, this isn't it. it's for the gentle relaxing shower with a rain feel. now that I've cleaned up that part, I have to say everything about this shower head is amazing! it is very well built and the chrome finish is excellent. it is very beautiful and stylish. one look and everyone knows they are looking for a chic and luxurious shower head. installation is very very easy. just a simple 1/2 inch female connection and you're done. now before you go any further check and check your arm as this shower head weighs over 4.5lbs and if your arm is old and rusty it wont be able to hold it for long. grohe recommends 28540 or 28492, but these cost about $100 each, I'm sure you can find something much cheaper that's strong enough to handle this shower head. in contrast, it does not have several spray options like most other shower heads, although in defense almost all rain shower heads have only one spray option. something that could definitely help is if there was an option to just activate a smaller circle of nozzles in the center of the shower head to achieve a higher pressure. im not sure of the feasibility but i thought it would be a good idea once i got in the shower lol. another thing to consider is that because of its size you can't change the angle of the shower head that much. of course this depends on the installation height of your shower head, but due to the medium and below average pressure, even tilting the shower head will not help to throw water off the head. so if you have a large tub this shower head can't drop the water more than 2-3 feet no matter how far you tilt it. highly recommended for relaxing rainy downpours at medium pressure.

Beautiful Design and Well-Made Just Not a Pleasant Shower Experience..
it is beautifully designed with elegant lines. the construction says 'quality'. yet I replaced it with a different shower head a few months later. the water from this shower head comes out in over 100 small pressure jets. 100 jets of water under pressure hitting your body doesn't sound so good, at least not to me. i want to feel pouring rain with water just falling down by gravity, like i'm under a gentle waterfall. this grohe just didn't deliver. I replaced it with a really nice (but not so nice) shower head without jets. for 1/5 the price of grohe, it offers a much more pleasant experience in the shower.
