Plumber installed this very quickly..
to set the record straight, my mortar and tub drains were all installed by a professional plumber for about $600 labor for 4 hours with no leaks, no alignment issues, and no fuss. the drain is a bit flimsy on top of the tub and doesn't seem to be holding very well which takes me a star off. the rest of this drain is solid. i highly recommend it instead of the cheap abs plastic drain.

Working well and love the deep soak tub...
did a gut renovation and put in the deep tub that needed that drain. i probably took 10 baths and had no problems with the drain unlike some other reviewers. works great and I love the evolution deep tub.

Works great installed easily...
after reading some of the more recent reviews that said it was difficult to install I almost didn't buy it. I was pleasantly surprised that it installed without any problems within 30 minutes. maybe the company has improved their design. the drain went in easily, the copper pipes fit the drain perfectly, and attaching the overflow pipe to the top of the tub wasn't as difficult as I imagined.

Almost to pretty to cover behind wall..
all brass very good fit and finish drain. the only problem with the drain is the top overflow seal. the gasket will move if you are not careful. and it's even worse if you add gasket as recommended by the manufacturer. the only solution I found was to tighten the retaining bracket screws until the gasket material is dry, then you can tighten the screws to tighten the gasket.

On the fence with this one..
so i need it because it is the only one for our new bathtub. i paid the extra money for the brushed nickel because i heard the paint was peeling on some of them and i'm glad i did. because the tub is right next to the wall we couldn't use most of the pipes and had to figure out how to handle pvc but it worked. ††a little. we just couldn't get one to properly go over the overflow valve, but it doesn't leak. the popup drain failed the next day but luckily someone here has a post on how to fix it and they took care of it so if you find the popup drain is not working properly there is a remedy.

It fits great... after some modifications...
i ordered this because it is the only drain suitable for the bath i bought. it was brass that thought it could last, although pvc was proof forever too. the problem I had was that the overflow pipe wouldn't fit into the t-fitting at all. i sanded down the overflow pipe first thinking if i took a little it would be fine. in vain. didn't want to remove the already quite thin pipes too much. I ended up taking a dremel and fine-tuning the t-id with a small drum sander. now it fits and should work fine. I just think the customer doesn't need to modify standard parts to use them. so if you have to use this drain installation because it's the only one that fits in the nice tub your wife bought, keep in mind that you may need to do a little extra sanding.
