this toilet has a sleek design, uses less water to flush and is larger than our toilet it replaced which is a real plus for my 6 foot man.

that works. big improvement over my old toilet. delivery went smoothly. its a toilet not much to say.

I bought this toilet mainly because of the one piece design (go from 4 potential leak spots to one). I don't know if they changed the design reviews pointing to valve seat imperfections that caused leaks, but both toilets I bought have plastic valve seats that work perfectly. used fernco fts-3 3 inch toilet gasket without wax, which makes installation very easy, have someone see the bottom and drop into place. i also have a fernco fts-3 on my toto and i lifted this toilet after about 4 years to repaint the floor and the seal was perfect. the instructions say to caulk the bottom of the toilet on the floor. i can see this to prevent water from getting under the toilet (spill on the floor etc) but it also masks a sealing flaw. i silenced everything except the back of the toilet for the above reason. you have to hold the lever for a full flush, which I don't consider a problem. it's better than the toto at cleaning and clogging the bowl (no clogs so far) and the toto sets the bar pretty high. it is a heavy toilet so if you install it yourself I would have someone on hand to align it when you put it on the flange bolts.

we bought the ace 2403,128,021 (this model is rated 1000 under "set federal coil standards") to replace a 2 piece gerber that, after coming back three times from the plumber who installed it, replaced the puke on my insistence with the ace . the gerber wouldn't rinse thoroughly either; nor stop a persistent slow leak in the refill unit. despite protests from the "pro", i bought the model described as "melted down" in costa rica and assembled in the united states. excellent toilet. meets ada standards; fills quickly, quietly and completely; surprisingly clean and thorough rinses; the one-piece design is sleek, modern and easy to clean; the included slow-close seat @ $50 is functional and well-made, albeit plastic; and perhaps most interestingly, there is a significant reduction in water consumption. we were so impressed with it as a cadet unit that we bought another one for our guest bathroom. Although this second toilet is "molded" in Mexico, it has the same positive features as the Costa Rican model, with the exception of the flush booster. this took some time consuming adjustments for beginners, but now works just as well as the previous purchase. the most important thing for you dear reader i am a harry home owner. i removed the 40 year old toilet myself - and replaced it as a two piece - no plumber! no leaks! a wax ring - a new flexible water pipe connection. to rinse!

replaced an old leaking toilet with this model. as a disabled person i really appreciated the delivery within the front door. i had professional service to install this item.. if you do it yourself; the wax ring is not included. can also adjust the emergency shut-off valve if necessary. 1-piece design is an attractive new contemporary style.

i am familiar with american standard products who have installed their products in the past. I was looking for a toilet with a low water consumption (1.28 gal.) that flushed on the first flush. after seeing the videos of this product on u-tube i was impressed. i bought this toilet, installed it and it works as advertised. installation was quite easy and the footprint of the toilet is only about half an inch longer and taller (good height) than the 40 year old american standard round front toilet it replaced. i also like the slow close seat. while the unit was still under warranty, the tank started to leak water into the bowl due to a faulty valve seal. the round gasket on the underside of the flap was wrinkled, causing the flap to leak. .after contact with amstd. they provided a replacement gasket for the flap. a few years later the same problem arose. after contacting amstd. to get a replacement seal i was told the seal was not available and had to buy the flapper for $21.00. the seal was probably a $2.00 coin!
