love these rain heads... affordable level of luxury... this look is a tank that weighs a ton with solid build quality and easy to install assuming the plumbing is in place. this is a grohe so as always the finish is fantastic...the build quality is as good as rock solid...you pay for the build and finish! the effect of this shower head strongly depends on your water pressure... this applies to any brand of rain head. ...if you have too much water pressure and can't control it, it may be too strong, add a control valve. if you don't have enough water pressure the water will drizzle...it's hard to give you exact numbers as it's not just the pressure but the size of the pipes feeding the shower head...so sometimes you have to just try . .. not all plumbing is plug n play... especially if we all want to feel the rain differently... so keep that in mind. good rain head reasonable price considering the quality...it already looks very stylish already many compliments! it's expensive but the water flow design seems better than anything I've installed or used...not sure why. ...and given the great looks and build quality the price is justified imo 5 stars

after visiting a luxury hotel over ten years ago, my wife and I thought about copying the shower function and installing a hansgrohe axor terrano shower head during a bathroom renovation. this shower head worked well and we got used to its quirks. in particular, some of the jets are filled with hard water limescale and, despite repeated cleanings, have different flow rates. so some will have water flowing while others will spray at odd angles. the central jets are stronger than those at the edges. both are solid pieces of metal. this shower head takes care of it all. it has a remarkably even flow. even the outer jets have the same flow as the inner ones. and while it's a larger area (~9" square vs ~7" in diameter), it has a similar rain feel. my wife also prefers this shower head over the hansgrohe. the only real difference is that it is a shiny chrome finish versus the brushed nickel finish of the old shower head. I also expect the grohe finish to last.

I've had dozens of shower heads in my life. i'm a big fan of the oversized 'rain' shower heads you get at places like the ritz carlton suites. when I moved into my current home last summer I was delighted to see that we had a large square "rain" shower head of this nature. it was pretty good. i didn't like the low flow of the shower head so i removed the "resistance" inside and it's been a spurt ever since. the only thing is most of the water flow is concentrated in the center and occasionally i have to dip the shower head in white vinegar to get rid of the rust/lime deposits. I bought this grohe shower head to see if it was better than my current shower head. in one word: that's it! it is very heavy, it just feels solid and in every way a lifetime purchase. water distribution is 100%, even between all 100+ holes. deposits can be easily removed with a finger swipe - no vinegar soaking necessary. installation is as easy as any overhead shower head, you just need a wrench to tighten. I also removed the resistance from this shower head, although even with the resistance it produced a respectable 2.5 gal per minute. a luxury product for the home.

I have installed 3 different rain shower heads in the last 12 months to find the optimal experience. honestly all of these previous 3 have done their job well, even if they were modestly priced and made of plastic which was designed to resemble metal. function is a primary concern, but aesthetics are important to anyone wanting to recreate the relaxing spa experience I believe most of us desire after a stressful day at work or to start the morning. as careful as I was to hide the fitting that held the previous shower head, it continued to scar as I tried to tighten that plastic to maximum torque to prevent leaks. I have previously had a large grohe faucet installed in the same bathroom for use with a sink and have come to appreciate the beauty and reliability of their more expensive but quality products. this faucet has been working perfectly for about 15 years! the actual retail price is almost half, but still quite high. when the box arrived I was surprised by the unexpected weight. opening the packaging revealed what is frankly an accurate and beautiful high quality work of art. clear reflective strong and accurate. it was installed in minutes and with its solid metal fittings there was no torque wrench, just a precise and tight connection. the rain shower flow is plentiful and evenly distributed, even though the water pressure in my house is not normally epic. I have no doubt that this head will be durable and trouble free for years to come. it truly replicates the experience you would enjoy in a luxury spa or hotel. the cost is high, but I don't know how to improve the feel and flow. highly recommended but at a high price.

... and for that you pay "the price". however, if price is of little or no concern, this 9-inch square showerhead fits the bill. easy to install all metals with a beautiful shine and resistant to scratches and tarnishing, excellent water pressure and most importantly easy to clean without limescale in the many nozzles on this thin square flat rain shower head. "speedclean anti-scale system: removes limescale with a simple swipe of your finger to maintain as new performance." very happy with this shower head and it's a great buy if you can afford it (just one star away for the price). great product.

while i previously had and enjoyed a 6 inch rain shower head, this 9 inch grohe shower head is just amazing. my biggest complaint with my previous shower head (made by a very high end company) is that it would hold water and keep dripping leading to mold growing around the lower jets. no matter how I tried to clean them - scrubbing with bleach bubbles - nothing worked. over time the water will spray through these jets at odd angles and of course it's not ideal for your shower water to flow through moldy holes. grohe is known for making the highest quality products and this shower head is a prime example. we found that the dreaded mold problem around the jets is not a problem for this shower head. there are absolutely no water droplets within 5 seconds of turning off the water - this should indicate no water is being retained in the shower head, which can lead to mold build-up. it cleans up easily and still looks great. when I ordered this I was a bit concerned about the water pressure as there are so many jets spread over such a large area but that's not a problem. the water pressure is absolutely amazing. obviously there are variables to consider, including the size of your plumbing pipes and your current water pressure. installation was smooth and easy. as long as the siren's leads are in place, all it takes is a set of plumber's tape and a small towel to avoid scratching the chrome when tightening the nut. I installed mine, which included removing the old shower head and cleaning the old plumber's tape off the pipe threads in less than 10 minutes. something to note: this is by far the heaviest shower head I've ever seen. I definitely wouldn't recommend installing it over the typical shower faucet plumbing. it is designed for overhead showers suspended from the ceiling, but can also be installed with grohe shower arms designed to support the weight. grohe knocked it out of the park with this awesome shower head. you will have to experience it to understand how wonderful a shower can be.
