Inspect for defects thoroughly..
i bought this tub from bath1 after failing to find it in 5 major stores in the los angeles area. I was looking for a 32" tub that would be used primarily as a shower. i tried a 30" villager at my friends house and felt like i was in a cage where i could barely move because they also had glass doors installed. I was still worried about the space issue and decided not to install glass doors but use a shower curtain. this america is beautiful it is spacious enough even to use with glass doors and no slip service at the bottom is very comfortable and not too rough like some cheap bathtubs. it would be a great bath if it weren't faulty. this was not discovered until a contractor finished tiling a wall behind the bathtub. it turned out that the rim of the tub facing the wall was not flat, but was dipped to 5/16 in. in the center of the tub. this defect resulted in a large gap between the tile and the center of the tub that had to be filled several times with grout.

The packaging was not damaged. The exterior finish etc .....
the packaging was not damaged. exterior finish, etc. had no problems. the bottom around the drain is missing about 1/3 to 1/2 of the finish, so the drain won't fit properly and seal from below. See attached picture. it should be smooth and full

Excellent bathtub...
very clean and firm bath. we ordered it for our kid's bathroom. huge difference with the old plastic fairing it replaced. it goes well with the contemporary style of the bathroom.
