dollar for dollar has been doing this for a long time at my age and I've seen a lot worse than this and can't understand the negative reviews. others stand out/design this one is better than most I've seen for the price. the hinge on the seat cover is very well designed. time will tell but putting it on the hopper tells me enough, I've done hundreds of them and it's still well done.

I bought this to replace the flimsy covers my maintenance team uses in the apartment complex. she slipped and slipped endlessly. to avoid further frustration, I bought this cover. it's perfect. they installed it and this thing is solid. it doesn't move. it stays put no matter who uses it. that alone is worth the purchase price. i never thought i would care too much about a toilet lid, but this one is pretty awesome.

I had to replace my black painted wooden toilet seat so I could clean it with sanitizer or alcohol wipes without damaging or discoloring the finish. this chair remains beautifully shiny. and it's comfortable too! do not use abrasive powder cleaners such as comet or ajax as this will cause fine scratches. I've tried so I know.

our old black wood chairs showed paint wear from years of cleaning. I was initially hesitant to replace our wooden chairs with plastic ones, but articles on hospitality sites stated that plastic chairs would be more resistant to cleaning. I don't even notice the change to good seats. between two adults weighing 170lbs no complaints. the seat is solid with four pins under the seat for extra stability. the bolts hold tight and the cover stays in place when you need it. suitable for our mansfield brand toilets. clean with a damp cloth and everything is good only 2 small problems. if your routine is to sit on the closed toilet, this seat may not work. the lid is slim designed. and the other concern is that the plastic surface looks like it could scratch (no scrub brushes), but so does the plastic or protective coating on any new, pristine gloss black toilet seat.

we bought one of these chairs years ago and this time i used the same link from my order list to buy it. the product is not exactly the same, although it has the same dimensions. it's actually sturdier than before and while the old one had the 'soft close' feature, this one doesn't. but in a battle between a soft close on a trash can chair or a better chair without it, i prefer this scenario. only complaint is the caps covering the point where it attaches to the toilet keep showing up (not sure why) but the seat is secure and much sturdier than before. we have tried more expensive brands and they look almost the same so it doesn't last long either. so we're glad it's still on sale. fits perfectly and if it lasts at least as long as the last one it's a real bargain!

looked at the options and although the kohler looked the nicest I struggled to spend $79 on a toilet seat. that's the problem with a vintage black toilet - the white seats are reasonably priced, but anything in a different color is ridiculous. i had a wooden seat (in black finish) but it was so hard it was really uncomfortable - the other toilet in the house has a plastic seat so i was specifically looking for a black plastic seat. now for the details - the box was quite battered but there is cardboard around the edges to help protect the seat - which itself is sealed in plastic. there were some surprising light scratches on the surface as they must have been applied before the plastic packaging. the seat itself is a little too big for this oval toilet that sticks out about an inch too long in the front. the seat bar is flat and quite wide, so the opening is slightly smaller than a normal seat of this type, but that's okay - in fact the light scratches weren't enough to complain through. although it is not a soft close seat it is very comfortable which is enough for me to overlook the other issues especially for the price.
