let's be clear - this is not a 2" toilet seat lift. if you go out and buy a 2" lifter for your existing toilet seat, you can be sure your seat will go up 2". that's not what this toilet seat does. adding 1" high bumpers to a standard seat raises your seat by just 1". just an extra inch.

nicely made and fits nicely above my toilet. I had a big problem with the installation. the bolts are 5 - 1/2" spacing but the holes on my toilet are 6". so needless to say I couldn't install this seat unless I drilled new holes in my toilet. my toilet is american standard so it shouldn't be an odd size and every other seat i bought for this toilet fits easily. i was very disappointed that it didn't fit and there was no way to adjust it. I wish they would make one that fits!

I bought this for my elderly mother who is shorter so traditional toilet seat raisers were too tall for her. we also wanted one that wasn't too inconvenient for others (company) to use if needed. it adds the perfect amount of lift for its 5'2 height is sturdy and durable and won't shift during use. it was a little hard to understand the installation instructions, but when we finally got it, it was doable. the price was a bit high i think but it meets our needs.

because the front of the seat is open, urine can leak from the dirty toilet and stain the floor. this would greatly improve the use of these products by adding a solid front "wall" that attaches to the security extensions. I sketched a rough facsimile of what should work. this should be relatively easy to do and, if built, be able to strengthen the seat. to be fair, although this chair is already sturdy. leaking urine has so far been just an annoying and repetitive problem.

I bought it to replace a broken chair at my mom's. because my mom was 83 and was moving slowly after hip replacement surgery, she said she wanted me to find her a raised toilet seat so she could stand up more easily. this one is really sturdy and she said it helped a lot. I would have liked better instructions on how the base fits, but it's still a bit explanatory. if you have someone who needs a little help getting up, those extra inches seem to work. at least for my mother.
