after returning several tub spouts which i ordered only to find they were plastic i searched for spouts and then selected the one that is all metal. I was worried that if the plastic spouts were hit, they would crack and leak. I like this beak, its modern look, heaviness/robustness. the diverter does not even leak a drop and works smoothly but pushes it down. it rises automatically when the water is cut off. the spout is quite long compared to the others I ordered. water tends to collect on top of the spout shaft because it is flat rather than flowing.

nice piece but has a non standard mounting method. check if your wall flange will work with mine no it has a brass fitting that screws onto the wall flange but it assumes the wall flange is in the wall and not protruding slightly like standard mounting practice. if your mounting flange is flush with the wall, forget to mount it, it will not be flush with the wall. we have quite a few grohe lamps and sometimes they do random surprising things with their products. it was one of those times. I replaced a 15 year old grohe europlus diverter that had been mounted using a standard method. disappointing, to say the least.
