Constricted flow rate..
we replaced an old grohe with this model. very disappointed with the rate restriction. for the price we expected better. our old grohe could not be repaired and grohe was not very helpful in providing assistance. really disappointed with the use quality and value.

Good Quality..
This faucet is an identical replacement for our 12 year old Grohe. i was tired of calling grohe for spare parts. they respect their warranty of free parts to the original owner. the faucet was very easy to install - about 1.5 hours to remove the old one and install the new one. full stream of water. I thought - oh no - what's going on now. then i looked at the spec sheet and it says 2.2 gpm/1.75 gpm 'eco-joy'. so I did some research and found that the extraction hose shortcut - controls the flow. the new check valve was brown - 1.75. i just swapped my old check valve (which is yellow) for the new one - and presto - 2.2 gpm. you can buy grohe 2.2 gpm check valves on bath1.

Quality Kitchen Faucet..
the grohe eurodisc faucet is well designed and works with a satisfying smoothness. most of the product is brass with the use of stainless steel and plastic in some places. installation is a piece of cake, all you need to do is tighten and fit the supply lines with a 17mm mounting nut. as it is designed, you have no hard parts to secure. it is quite easy to install it in an hour. however, there are a few things to consider. the unit has a combined flow restrictor/check valve/quick-coupling that barely gives enough flow. if there are clogs (like little bits of rubber from a disintegrated isolation valve in my case) there isn't enough flow and the spray wouldn't stay put. It is clear that the current limiter is intended to minimize water wastage and meet ac requirements. if the current is too low, it is an easy upgrade because the current limiter is interchangeable. i have installed a green/black color coded grohe 46315000 and love the higher flow rate. the faucet comes with a limited lifetime warranty. as a result, any wearing parts are no longer covered after approximately 10 years. replacing the ceramic cartridge isn't that hard, but you should take it easy and make sure none of the o-rings get pinched. I hate disposable items. it will last over 20 years with likely minimal maintenance. nice look without being flashy. well worth buying from bath1 (costs half the designer showrooms) and settling in (only takes an hour)

Well made and looks sharp..
I had a Grohe faucet years ago and it has worked fine for over 20 years. it was white and is no longer made so I have bought not one but 3 white moen kitchen faucets in the last 10 years. they all started to stiffen and stopped working after 2 years. this grohe is chrome, so I had to replace the other sink dispensers (3) with chrome as well. it's worth it, because it's a sturdy and well-functioning kitchen faucet. i would be happy if it only lasts 10 years compared to the hassle of replacing 3 taps in that time. I would happily pay more for a well made item that I have not had to replace so often. when you factor in the cost of installation and time wasted on cheaper items, this faucet is a better deal.

Great warranty; solid product..
the package arrived a day later in good condition. anyway our plumber came to install the faucet within 30 minutes when i called right after the package was delivered. we had no problems, other people reported that the tap wouldn't turn and the water pressure was low. i think the installation by a professional was essential as the space behind the sink was very tight and he had to saw off the old broken faucet. we had the old grohe faucet for almost twenty years and wanted another one because of their great warranty and excellent customer service for quick parts replacement. this new faucet fits nicely under the new shutters we just placed on the window behind the sink where the old ladylux faucet was too high and prevented the shutters from opening fully. the new faucet looks great and feels very sturdy and smooth. the water pressure is just right and it runs well. very happy with the purchase so far!

Nice design and excellent function but don't expect it to last forever...
this is our fourth of them. we like the overall design and function, although some aspects aren't particularly durable. while the main body is a very sturdy cast chrome metal, the pull-out hose and mouthpiece are plastic and tend to break after a few years of normal use. grohe has made several changes to the detailed design over the years, so some of my spare parts from older eurodisc faucets fit and some don't. it used to use a long concentric spring to retract the extendable tube and now it uses a clunky iron weight for the same purpose. I could use the old spring instead of the weight and it works fine. the latter carried the lower support ring to the point where it became nearly impossible to turn the arm and I was unable to fix it. the bottom line is that it's a nice faucet with nice functional features, but don't expect it to last a lifetime! the good news is that a replacement is reasonably priced and comes with good installation instructions and very comprehensive, good quality hardware, so it's a simple matter to replace.
