Moen's Wynford is A Handsome Giant Faucet..
I am doing a DIY bathroom renovation for a guest bathroom at my home and jumped at the chance to receive and review this mo 4500 wynford faucet. my wife and i were already thinking about other moen faucets and related hardware so this was a great option. unfortunately my new vanity and countertop are not here so I had to compromise and install this faucet over my existing cultured marble countertop. overall it was a pretty easy job and coming from a novice handyman. I've had my first home for about 5 years and have certainly ventured into projects that are way out of my comfort zone; my bathroom renovation is the latest in a long line of projects. First of all, the Wynford 4500 is a large crane. the photos on the product page don't do it justice; when installed, the faucet is more than 20 cm high and with the handle fully raised, it is 9.5 cm high. this was a bit of a surprise, so if you're going for a smaller profile or are somewhat restricted by airspace, keep that in mind. installation was relatively easy. my plumbing experience was somewhat limited to kitchen repairs and replacing the two valves in my laundry room and I found this work similar to those experiences. for some, you'll need basic tools: pipe wrench, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, plumber's putty, and Teflon sealing tape. in the box you have everything you need, including a base plate kit to cover the holes in your countertop when you replace it. a double handle faucet like me. Also included are a new drain and drain plug and steel mesh hot and cold water pipes. the instructions are pretty easy to follow and I recommend taking them to your sink and following each step as you inspect the under-sink plumbing in your own home. i started a lot of jobs but had to quit and run to the hardware store for parts i didn't know i needed. the installation from the beginning (including the removal of an old delta tap) to the end took about an hour. I'm sure someone with more experience could do this job much faster than me. my wife and I love the look of the faucet and it even updated our cultured marble countertop (yay '80's!). I think with the new marble vanity top this faucet will look even better! great product; fairly easy to install; and it looks fantastic! advised!

HIGH QUALITY FAUCET..
this tap is placed in the children's bathroom. the high arch offers more space for washing hands and face, making it much more convenient than lower taps. the only downside is it gives my kids a bigger splash area. well that's what kids do. the faucet itself is high quality like all the other moen faucets in my house. I have been using mo for many years and have always been pleased with the quality construction and great design of this company. faucets work perfectly for years. installation was incredibly easy. I say unbelievably easy because I've done more than my fair share of plumbing jobs over the years. but even for someone with less plumbing skills or less mechanical skills, it's a pretty easy installation. the single handle design works well. the lever feels nice. a nice feeling of robustness. I expect to be able to use this faucet for years without any problems.

Beautiful faucet Lack of quality/control and packing..
The Moen 4500 Wynford Bathroom Faucet is a beautiful, well-built fixture. the quality is top notch with easy installation and excellent performance. the only downside is the packaging and lack of quality control. it's actually less about quality control and more about how the fixture is packaged. when you turn on the tap for the first time, you know you are dealing with a quality item. well designed and heavy. it's not cheap, but it's not cheap either. the installation was very easy. turn off the power, remove the old faucet and install it (depending on your situation, you may need to consider a drain plunger or modification of existing holes). it comes with a cover for the existing holes made for the hot/cold valves. connect the water supply lines and you are good to go. yes, that sounds simple, but the actual installation is... often it's existing issues that cause problems. but nevertheless I had a pretty easy time (handling the drain plunger is the consumer for me, especially since I'm not a big house plumber). the handle is firm when you turn the water on and off, you get a good handle feeling. the mix of hot and cold seemed to be good. the lamp looks really beautiful. nice design and top quality. my only gripe was the way it was packaged. some items in the box were loose and bumping. there was even a small dent on the faucet (not sure if it came out of the package when shipped or if the first quality check didn't pick it up). it was near the back of the faucet so I wasn't too worried about it. but it would have been better to just fasten the items in the box (tape ties etc). overall it's hard to find fault with this faucet. typical moo quality and design sets it apart from the competition.
