Pay for the quality..
no problems here. a bit pricey but you know it's quality and it won't leak. that would be the worst.

Does the Job!..
i was concerned about buying this drain as the reviews weren't all positive but i bought it along with a american standard deep tub. since the tub was american standard i thought the drain from the same company would be the right choice. the contractor has had no complaints and so far (two months) neither i. â€

Fine but ugly..
the overflow cladding is huge and spherical. I don't understand why it has to be too big and ugly. the cap is push on push off and seems to work well.

as it feels like a $3 extension tube from Kmart..
does the job but builds really cheap. (I can't believe the US standard price for this item because it looks like a $3 extension tube from kmart!) I like US standard products, but this exclusive item is not well constructed. no it's not leaking (yet) but should be thick wall abs rather than thin wall crap for the price they charge. ok do the ventilation! yes it works and it looks good. â€

Different but not bad..
this drain looks and works a little different than what I'm used to, but it's growing on me! the drain is push to close/open. the landing seems a bit bulky, but you get used to the look. so i bought a lot to buy it used. Basically came open box in near mint condition with all parts and at a fraction of the cost. the plumber had no problems with the installation. I can not complain !

Deep Soak drain kit for American Standard 5' Cambridge Steel tub...
this is the oem drain kit that fits our new cambridge 5' steel fairing. we only used the deep soak overflow drain from this kit. the bath plug does not catch hairs and the hose itself is very thin. I used a $40 kit from the b&m store that was on schedule 40 and the deep soak overflow fitted just fine. even the bath plug works when we need it. i gave it 4 stars because of its cost. i called american standard to order just the overflow and it was $100 for parts. this complete drain set in white was $65. we all have brushed nickel, but the matching white in the tub looks classy. it may fit other bathtubs, but our bathtub called for this set for deep soaking, but we improvised and used a better hose with just the overflow and stopper.
