Better then I could have hoped..
I didn't want a bubble bath but a deep dive. this bath is perfect. it fits the length of our old tub and only about an inch and a quarter wider, but how deep! the deep drain is a must with this bath. I've had it for a year now and use it every day!

Buyer Beware - Inside length is only 38" !!!!!! Ack!!!!..
I did a ton of research on this tub for our master bathroom remodel; and relied heavily on my fellow Amazon reviewers for advice. my husband is a dedicated swimmer. he is not a very tall man - typical height of 1.85m. we had a 62" opening and our previous original cast iron tub was so small (depth x width x length) it looked like a thimble with him in it. so i was looking for a deep tub. i was drawn to this tub by the american standard name, the depth and the contoured back/arm with the "overflow" area. the reality is the length from the tub in your back/butt to the rim at the end of the drain is 38". the reason for that is that they have too big a platform in the back like a headrest. I could fit a 40lb watermelon in there... way more than enough. it's perfect for me at 1.80" but too short for someone taller. so while my husband's body is nicely covered in water for its generous depth and width is thin, his knees are heavily bent for length...and it best part: he complains every time it comes out that we put a wad of dough on a bathroom remodel and opted for a tub that sucks so now i practically break my neck stepping over the giant ledge to take a shower while my man still has subpar bathing experience.sigh.pro: beautiful; good value/affordable; easy to clean; very comfortable backrest/headrest con: insanely short

Awesome Tub..
this tub is great make sure you get the heater for it my husband is an electrician so he installed a special circuit for the heater and you can enjoy it for as long as you want my only advice have it installed professionally c its annoying the donkey care sure if you put it on a ledger it needs support you can't just put it in and tile around it and be ready to go.

It isn't installed but I already love it! There's nothing like a soaking bath and .....
it's not installed, but I already love it! there is no such thing as a bathtub and my old bathtub didn't work.

not the best quality and it was hard to install..
not the best quality and it was difficult to install, we had to build a frame for the sides and a mortar bed to rest on. plumbing was a breeze. but it is better than the damaged devonshire that arrived and had to be exchanged for this one. I just don't like the panel that sticks out in the front. i have a deep bath so i don't know why they have a recess. so i'll find something to make it a little better. but it looks good and it is very deep, ideal for a well deserved swim.
