Five Stars..
it's very tight, but the seat doesn't stay centered for me. I replaced the seat with a stronger one. you have to realize that the seat is held differently than the one with a bolt under the rim. this requires confirmation from top to bottom. i bought the bath royale br606-ffp model from bath1 and i like it a lot. it is about 17.5 inches from the ground to the top of the rim.

Great skirted choice for the price..
I had some trouble installing it, but that was mostly due to my drain location, more than anything. the toilets are great and they handle almost anything I throw at them with aplomb; so don't be put off by the 1.6 gallon rating. the electric scrubbing feature is nice but it doesn't have much power to actually scrub (all the power comes from a 'jet' that sits at the bottom of the bowl - pushing everything back down the drain. that's always better than no scrub at all what teases my other toilets.the appearance is fantastic and i definitely prefer the bottom with rim over the exposed one.but in my case the toilet is a bit too far from the wall.j i have heard other people say the same applies to this model, you may want to check the spec sheet on the usa standard website to do some heavy calculations before buying.looks bad but there is a chance you will crack the china if you are used to leaning on the back tank because it is only held with two bolts, as for the seat it is brilliant because of the slow closing function, but it is made of thin plastic. when i sit on the lid closed to keep my kids e wash the bathtub the seat folds in the look of the seat is fine b but you can tell it's light plastic when you grab it or sit over it. a great price for a great look. fully functional if you can install the wax ring perfectly (took 2-3 tries to install it perfectly). I highly recommend using non-wood shims to support the base before sealing the rim where it meets the floor.

Not worth the extra $$..
1 was broken when it was delivered, which was returned and credited to the seller, but they had more then so I had to go elsewhere to find the last toilet for my home renovation. the toilets are ok but not worth the extra cost compared to other toilets. the flush is good and strong. the woman likes the smooth sides for cleaning but uses a unique seat and not an easy assembly especially for someone with big hands.

Love the performance. Harder install...
had new floors laid in two bathrooms, which meant that both toilets had to be dismantled. a good time to replace the last toilet I hate. the other toilets had already been replaced by the same hidden American cadet-3 standard. likes the strong flush. no more plunger rinse cycles and no more gallons of water wasted. this toilet consistently handles business with a single flush. scores 4 out of 5 stars because the installation is a bit more difficult than a toilet with an open drain. my floor installer had to remove and install the toilet, but he was unfamiliar with the design, so I did that instead of having it clipped around the toilet. also a small cleaning issue which I mention at the end. starting with the existing caddy, I chose not to separate the bowl and reservoir. too much back pain. my teenage son helped lift and align in a tight space. however, I installed the new unit myself. I stretched my back again and tried to lift and adjust the new bowl, and I got an idea. use a short piece of 2x6 wood dowel from an unrelated project to position the toilet above the waste line. it worked and saved a lot of stress on my back while aligning the bowl on the mounting bolts. I probably could have rested the front on the floor, but I was paranoid about the uneven compression of the wax ring. the toilet is difficult to align with the bolts above the drain line because the bolt holes are usually hidden. however, I could see them up close through the two seat ports (on the new bowl) and the side bolt ports. I also used painter's tape and a pencil line to mark the bolt locations on the floor and side of the toilet. note on the wax ring. i didn't like the chance to put the bowl in a traditional wax ring or the mess of near misses from past experience. so i chose to use the danco perfect sealing wax ring on both toilets. wax is enclosed at the top and a rubber gasket completes the seal with the toilet. the installation was much cleaner and forgiving. like other reviews the seat is not traditional. can't fit a traditional seat without removing the bowl. I hesitated for a moment and then thought that in the more than 12 years I've lived in my house, I've never had to change my toilet seat or even thought of doing so. so given that my four toilets are relatively new, hopefully this won't be an issue for a while. my wife likes clean lines so we went for a hidden trap. however, some nasty urine residue can seep into the toilet seat mounting holes over time, I suspect as the seat mount loosens and teens are not accurate. even with regular cleaning, you will not notice that the enclosed space is slowly getting dirty. i only noticed this after removing the old caddy installed a year ago and then inspecting the back. no problem for a traditional open stair toilet. Still, it was worth it considering the cost. easy to wipe. but my wife is obsessed with cleaning so we will design a cleaning tool and come back to it regularly.

I love this toilet...
i just moved into my new house and the first thing i did was buy this toilet again. I like the smooth, easy-to-clean sides. the seat height is good for the little ones and no complaints from the big ones. only the mounting holes are questionable if you have very large hands. once these plugs are in the smooth sides, cleaning the tub is a breeze. and the lid on the seat closes softly, slowly.
