The ENERGY STAR® certified Voltex® MAX Smart Hybrid Electric Heat Pump water heater can deliver larger volumes of hot water using innovative smart valve technology with Hot Water+ for up to 40% more hot water. The HPTA-40 provides peace of mind with smart sensor leak detection, automatic water shutoff, and 10-year limited tank and parts warranty.
4x more efficient, the HPTA-40 heat pump delivers savings by using heat from the surrounding air to heat water; saving up to $600 per year on operating costs compared to standard electric water heaters of similar capacity. This model features a 40-gallon (nominal) tank with a 3.6 Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) and Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) Tier 3 qualified.
Premium features including vacation mode and guest mode save you money by adjusting to hot water demand in the home. Two heating elements enable the water heater to recover quickly during periods of high demand.
