i really like this shower head configuration. the rail is made of high quality metal and the brackets to support the rail are very strong. the shower head slides up and down the rail very easily and pivots to adjust the angle. a big plus is the pipe - it's a nice metal pipe that hangs straight down. I've always hated cheap plastic pipes that are always twisting in transit. this one is great. the shower head is lightweight plastic and feels a bit cheap. but grohe may have purposely designed it so as not to damage your bathtub or accessories if you accidentally drop it. I hope it lasts as long as the rest of the setup, but if it doesn't, it's easy to replace the head. the image I've added shows all the hardware included. overall very simple and easy to install - you just need the right bit to get through the tiles.

this relexa ultra is equipped with a 24 inch sliding bar to adjust the height of the hand shower. the 2 bar mounting brackets are unique in that they can be installed anywhere from 15" to 25" apart to accommodate different installation needs such as retrofit or corner mounting where you may need to go over existing mounting holes. they require a 6.35mm mounting hole to use with the included stainless steel screws. 71.5" long hose attaches to a shower head arm or diverter. the relexa ultra. the 28 897 hand shower has 5 different jet types, including the deluxe dream jet. love the quick cleaning where grohe uses flexible silicone nozzles that are hand held can be manipulated to remove hard limescale deposits as they form.it's a great way to upgrade an existing hand shower and bar and add a new one.high quality and performance.5 stars.

I am very impressed with the nice sturdy bar and the smoothly height-adjustable support on the bar. really high quality. the shower head itself is pretty standard; it's best that it's not made of solid metal. I could clone myself. has a nice variety of spray patterns. i was able to install it myself, i had to have a tile hole saw to fit a ½" threaded pipe. this was part of a bigger valve upgrade so i had a few stressful days. i bought a grohe relaxa shower wall fitting (which has an unimpressive plastic cover) then I had to drill 2 holes in the tile the back of the shower wall was already open so I didn't have to use the anchors provided just put a 2×4 where the screws had to go.assembly after that was super easy.it was a birthday present for my lovely wife and i hope she likes it.

very well done. quite heavy. most of the slide feels like light metal with plastic (but very nice) end caps. the adjusting part of the slide that also holds the shower head is plastic but good quality. a simple knob to screw or unscrew to loosen and slide and then tighten to hold it in place. the shower head holder is adjustable and rigid, so it should hold its position. the shower head is nice and big with 5 different jet types. comes with a 60" flexible hose which is really flexible, don't worry it will be stiff even when cold. installation is quite easy, install two brackets (one screw each) and attach the whole unit to these two brackets I'm drilling directly into a 2x4 backer board behind the shower wall so I won't be using the red mollies supplied just the screws. I chose this device based on looks and expected quality and so far I am not disappointed I will update this review after installation and some time with this device.

we got this rain head for a bathroom renovation project that was unfortunately delayed. I didn't want to let the review take too long though, so here's my first attempt before installing. i will try to update once we resume our bathroom project in about a month. I tried to take pictures of all the components that come with this kit. the 'starlight chrome' finish appears to be at least a few coats of polished plating as it has a nice deep shine that is smooth and easy to wipe off. although I didn't notice it in the product description, the spray head can be rotated to choose from different spray patterns. the handle feels like relatively thin metal and is stiff without being too heavy in the hand. the pipe is smooth and well chromed with a smooth luxurious look. the fixtures are also sturdy and heavy with a well-matched finish. the slide on the mounting beam moves smoothly over the polished surface of the beam construction typical good grohe quality here. no flaws in the finish no scratches and well packed. I can't wait to install it soon!
