grohe's "starlight" chrome finish is unlike any other chrome finish interesting. I'm curious how they do it as it looks like chrome - maybe a little more reflective but it easily matches other chrome fixtures - but it feels almost slick. I don't know if it's a protective coating or something, but it doesn't seem to pick up water spots like chrome usually does. it picks up on finger smudges, but they wipe away right away. the pipe is a very nice quality metal pipe. it is durable and of high quality and has a nice weight so that it always hangs perfectly. the shower head is great, love that the settings are marked on its face and the knob is so easy to turn. this is easily the best multi-setting shower head I've ever used. switching between settings is virtually effortless, even with wet, slippery hands.

it is a nice product if you want to add a shower to a bath without a shower. loved having it and immediately went to try it out but...I can't use it in my shower cubicle without putting screws in the tile and I don't like doing that! so I just unscrewed my current shower hose and head to try out the new spray head. it gives a nice soft stream but my water pressure has dropped to about half. I understand that water pressure is a personal choice, but I like a lot of pressure when washing my hair or massaging my back. I didn't notice any massaging action from the sprayer. it is easy to install, but does not contain plumbing tape. it would be great to fit it over a bath with no shower for the disabled and rinsing small children. i should point out that the hose attaches directly to the shower hose coming out of the wall unless you have an adapter i made. if you want to turn your bath into a shower, you need to attach the hose to the faucet and fix the shower rod to the wall with screws. everything is convenient to remove the shower head when you hold it by hand or leave it on the wall to shower. I'm thinking about doing this because I have a garden tub with no shower and never get used to it! would save the cost of hiring a plumber! I should also mention that this is a good heavy item so I don't think it is full of plastic.
