    grohe is a very high quality product. the last kitchen faucet that looks like it lasted 11 years. it wasn't a quick install but once the plumber figured it out it was fine. about 1 hour to install.

    Very well made solid metal kitchen faucet that reflects German engineering and craftsmanship. installation instructions require interpretation of diagrams rather than written text. installation time approximately 2.5 hours by a person with basic plumbing skills and an assistant.

    I replaced an old Grohe faucet with an almost identical new model. after 20 years the old tap started to stiffen. they have lifetime warranties and quickly replaced a faulty mouthpiece a few years ago. I probably could have asked for a replacement device this time, but twenty years of service I thought was reasonable. I had a plumber install it.

    we installed this faucet to replace an older grohe alira faucet. it is similar to the alira, but with a different handle. the spray hose on this unit was a gray mesh material compared to a shiny metal hose on our old grohe alira. my wife helped with the installation (it is easier with two people to hold the faucet in place while repairing etc) and we are both happy with the new faucet. the instructions were easy to follow (although mostly wordless). it would be helpful for grohe to bring a hand tool to help tighten the single mounting bolt under the sink, but this is doable with vices (or something similar). An important installation tip: run the spray hose through the faucet before installing the faucet in place. this is different from the printed instructions but we found we couldn't get the hose past the locknut after the faucet was attached to the sink/countertop and had to take it apart and pass the end of the pipe first then tighten the lock nut. the faucet is well made and solid and works well. we recommend this faucet to family and friends.
