Discontinued?..
i ordered the grohe 33939 from my local wholesaler and was told it had been replaced with this number (3330). i installed it and it seems to be of the same excellent quality, the only change is the shape of the handle. the reputation of grohes is excellent. the price is high, but not exorbitant like some of the much lesser "designer" faucets.

OK but be careful of the hose..
I have an older model of the device. it has a slightly different handle. it has been reliable for many years, except that the hose that enables the suction function has finally started to leak. on my unit the leak was subtle and by the time i discovered it my area under the sink was ruined and i had to go through a pretty expensive repair. my advice would be to inspect the area under the sink regularly for the beginning of leaks from the hose. the hose is user replaceable (cost me about $50 locally) but was not a quick job as the faucet has to be disassembled.

I'd rather have my money back...
I got this faucet to replace a similar style kohler faucet when the kohler wouldn't turn and the best I could get from them was they sent me a part I couldn't use with an empty tube of lubricant. still I would have liked to keep the kohler because this grohe is disappointing and boring. water gushes out at an angle rather than just falling, so to fill a container you have to place it on the side of the sink and anticipate where the water will go. the sliding part snaps in and out of the arm, so if you want to remove it while it's running you risk splashing water where you don't want it. then putting it back when you're done is another step that shouldn't be necessary. the spray button on the top is very hard to press while holding the faucet, so you'll need a second hand unless you have big, strong man hands. i only give it a 3 because it works and looks good but i would rather get my money back.
