I bought for a bathhouse in the basement. I won't be installing it for a while so I'm just looking at the unassembled unit. I can say that the finish is impeccable as you would expect from this manufacturer. it is all metal construction with the exception of a chrome plastic end cap on the handle. I am very satisfied with the components.

I prefer the round model, but it is very beautiful. the pluses are shiny chrome, solid build quality, and smooth power gradations. you have to get the "roughin" valve separately. the design is beautiful has a european look and is more durable than moen. good accurate temperature and pressure control. no leaks.

out of the box I was really impressed with the build quality and finish of this product. I have had satisfying experiences with grohe bathroom products in the past and this item is no exception. i had a handyman install this appliance in my shower. excellent control of water flow and temperature. everything runs and works fine. and this item makes my bath look really classy. the price is about what you would expect for this kind of quality product.
